I think also people like to think thats Tajiri cause Tajiri doesn't take press photos anymore and pose with Pokemon stuff. This is a picture of a middle aged Japanese guy in a business suit with some Pokemon stuff. That's how people want to picture Tajiri, not the awkward pic related.
