Gym Leader's name is Kite. He only recently became a Gym Leader after replacing the former Flying type Gym Leader. He exclusively uses Electric type Pokemon.
The former Gym was owned by the leader of a small tribe of skydivers named Risha. She and her tribe lived atop a mountain in a remote village to practice skydiving. They rejected any type of progress or development and only wanted to continue indulging in their age old ritual.
Kite is a progressive man and wants to modernize the region. He is also obsessed with aircraft and flying. He is a total nerd and wears glasses. Because of his curiosity for science and hunger for progress, he challenged Risha to a battle at her full power and claimed the Gym for himself, with the Champion's permission.
Along with another Gym Leader (duo)'s help, he rebuilt a small town on the area where the skydiving tribe previously lived. He named the town "Airfield Town". He also built an airport in the outskirts of Airfield Town. The Gym Leaders he worked with specialize in Rock and Ground type so it wasn't very tough for him to construct a town atop the mountains.
Kite's dream is to build airports all over the region and connect the region to other regions. He believes that by doing this, the region's export will increase and it will make the region more prosperous.
Despite being built only recently, Airfield Town is one of the most developed areas in the region. Kite enjoys inventing machines with the help of his Electric Pokemon. His Gym has the most challenging puzzle in the region.
There is a water tunnel in the middle of the Gym and the only way to get to the other side is by connecting wires to the switch in a certain order, which stops the water.
But the road is blocked by either the trainers, or electric fans that simply push you away. You need to plug in the wires in a certain order in order to BOTH stop the fans and the water.
