The sugi is supposed to be the same design as the original art, just in a different style and pose. The actual design of boaralis clearly changed here. It doesn't matter if you think the proportions on the sugi looks better or not, it's different.
Remember when this agauanut art was made and everybody flipped? same shit, except in this case it's not as different so nobody gives a shit.
