I however loath how suddenly at the end he act like he has special connection with Lillie and keep talking about how he is going to "find" her at Kanto, while he failed to protect her at Aether house and after the rescue arc he went on his merry way instead of helping her find her mother. Badically his suddenly-revealed crush on Lillie is unnecessary and make his character less likable.
