I'm not saying that Ash should force the thunderstone on Pikachu, because both the Lt Surge episode and Pika and Goliath have stated perfectly well that forcing evolution is a no-no, but we now have a clear reason for Pikachu to do it himself. The yellow rodent should suck it up and use the stone so we can get an Ash Raichu.
