>>53611982If we're resorting to that line of thinking why care about the difficulty at all? It's modular regardless of xp share is there or not; game too easy? Box your party and get new one. Game too hard? Use stronger Pokemonn or funnel more xp to one Pokemon. But what can't be argued is that xp share is more conducive to an experience in which players are naturally encouraged to use a full team of Pokemon, because players don't have to intentionally throw shitmons into bad matchups and immediately switch them out for a reward that the game doesn't actually provide.
Experience share has nothing to do with the difficulty, if GF wanted SV to be harder they could easily just readjust the final boss to be 5 levels higher or whatever, xp share doesn't matter for that at all. They're just designed to be easy games.
