It's weird. Lando is still around for so long because it can play all sorts of different roles on a team based on its stats, ability and movepool, so there's essentially no excuse NOT to use it. Every other Pokemon seems to be a single role gimmick. If someone brings out Toxapex, Mega Lopunny, etc., you know exactly what they're going to be used for.
