Coming from a former dragonfag myself, I'm not that upset anymore about dragons getting btfo'd by fairies (even though Hydreigon is my favorite 'mon with a double weakness). If anything, I do not get why bugs had to get slandered again when they are already weakened enough, and fire is already tough enough the way it was.
I also don't get why Celebi, a literal onion fairy, is not a fairy type (inb4 muh time travel when Dialga exists; also being 4x by poison thematically makes more sense than by bugs, especially from the events of the 4th movie).
