>>49617106Definitely true. /vp/ had it's moments but more often than not it was reposts of memes and painfully unfunny Facebook/9gag comics out the ass, genwunners shitting on BW and cherrypicking designs really hard (this was before the game was out if I recall), fake magazine leaks, real magazine leaks that looked extremely fake, and the circlejerking. Wow, the circlejerking and tripfagging was fucking awful back then. Seemed like every other poster had a trip. It's rare to see even a namefag these days, but it does happen. Just not on the scale of 2012 /vp/. Also the really weird vore threads that don't happen at all anymore. The ones we end up having these days sometimes were nothing compared to the entire full-on image dumps that were allowed for some reason until there was some mod they put on the team to keep the board as clean as possible. I recall for a while that it was really strict, even posting a slightly suggestive image was enough to get it deleted and earn a 3 day vacation of some kind. It was very prudish.
Still, /vp/ has only gotten worse in different ways. It's at its very worst no matter what generation when there's nothing to talk about. Pre-release PLA is probably the lowest I've seen this board, and I was here for things like Gary raids and shitty creepypasta/"childhood-killing" theory threads. I still think there isn't a lot that can compare to the slugfucker, which literally brought the board to its knees. Haven't seen a force like that in years.
