>>49048872Making my way through Azalea’s Gym was pretty easy with Firetard’s Ember. Had some difficulty thanks to a Double Battle in which both enemies frequently targeted him, so I had to heal after that.
Looking at what the Gym Leaders ahead had in store for me made me paranoid, so I reworked my team, including evolving Bathory. Probably overleveled, the others, honestly.
My party: Camelot, Bathory, Shovelware, Matthew, Kalki, Argonot
And thus we approached Bugsy.
>ButterfreeCamelot led the way, opening with an Ember that was dulled by Rain Dance. Amnesia came in handy, allowing him to survive a torrent of Air Cutters to put down his foe.
>Heracross>Yanma>Scyther>Pinsir>BeedrillIntroductions out of the way, I swapped to Bathory, who outsped with Wing Attacks. The only ones to not be one-shot were Scyther and Pinsir, who did Swords Dance and Knock Off, respectively. With Beedrill's death, the Hive Badge was obtained.
Definitely overprepped. Just embarrassing on my part, really. Anyway, now I can head north to Goldenrod.
In somewhat related news, the author of the lorelocke ruleset has updated the file to 1.33, which mostly includes new art, but has some changes to rules and a new one for Cleffa. Nothing changed that relates to any I have caught though so nothing to make choices about in this playthrough.
