Raziah gives her the cold shoulder, "Melanie, you have a Gardevoir. You have no room to pull rank on anyone."
If one were to look at the scene from a distance, they would be able to pinpoint the exact moment Melanie's heart breaks. Her Gardevoir even comes out of her pokeball on her own to experience the heartbreak as well. She's loyal to her trainer like that.
