Generally decent to good. Nothing special, but nothing bad either. Isn't too serious for most of the game.
There were very few moments where I thought something was rebornlike tier retarded (Mainly leaving Elliot with the difinitely not Metis corp. grunt, only for him to return as a hostage after badge 8)
Pacing felt a little fast, especially towards the later half of the game, but that could be due to me usually playing rebornlikes and other "difficulty" ""enhancements"" where you end the game at absurdly high levels and a fuckton of stuff between badges at points
There was more untranslated story/sidequest shit than I thought there would be, but not a absurd amount

Generally not bad, imo
Didn't particularly care for Owen. He was at his most interesting when he started with the 4th wall bullshit, which was likely intentional
The only character I actively disliked was the green haired faggot, but he generally got what he deserved when on screen, which was funny
The others range from neutral to good, mostly
>Gameplay
Pretty good.
There's some really good shit, like the ability to level your mons up to your highest level mon, change natures for 3 heart scales, and relearn moves for free.
The only issue for me was that leveling this way didn't evolve your mons
Stuff like the monotype options are very nice, though definitely shouldn't stay on
Quests weren't annoying as fuck, which is nice
The Realidea System was pretty shit for basically the whole game. I only really used the healing function and the postgame function. Never used the repel and levelup functions
The shit it does for the Faemie gauntlet is busted as fuck, though.
