Also, I saw someone in a thread claim they played the demo and that they were told the animations were made even faster in Raid Battles, so it's likely they even know how to do it actually.
Really though, the biggest thing I think they need is just more idle/attack animations. Keep them as short as they are currently, just let each pokemon have like 3 idle variations and at least 2 variations for physical attacks and for special attacks. Maybe even one for status moves.
If they really did want more "quality animations" then that's the thing I think they should have done.
