The name comes from Pokemon Master (without s), the vague pseudo-epic term used since the start of the anime
This anime goes everywhere now, it doesn't make that much sense to promote the Sinnoh remakes in the series name, especially when none of the precedent seasons did it before
Even if it did, Legends doesn't work that well because it's set in the past and a choice would have to be made between Brilliant and Shining
Basically, It's just a pretext you found to shit on the localization for no real reason, yet another time
