My guess is they figure if they're as 'cool" as 4chan the internet will respect them or something. I'll be honest, I don't mind tumblr [go ahead and judge me on that]; I think it's a beautiful community where people talk about what they like and make amazing art and if it weren't full of social justice anythings and deviant artist and trans-bi-fem-polar-fluid*s then it probably wouldn't be half bad.
