Welcome to the world of Pokemon!
>What qualifies this anon to tell you this shit:- I'm a Pokemon Professor (I took a shitty test that allows me to say I know shit and wear a labcoat)
- I'm a TO (Tournament Organizer; another shitty worthless position that lets me run sanctioned tourneys)
- I'm a LO (League Owner; a third worthless title that means I herd nerds around once a week and give out promo cards)
>Why play with Pokeymon cards?Pokemon TCG is a really fun card game. It doesn't cost much to get into (compared to Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic where cards are rather expensive, The Pokemon Company International (henceforth referred to as TPCI) releases really good cards as promos to make them widely available for their young players who don't have income to spend on billions of packs.)
So if you want metadecks... Here's what was played at the tournament I hosted this morning:
> Darkrai/Garbodor (Lol fuck this deck)> Keldeo/Blastoise (haha dickfaces)> Rayquaza/Emboar (Fire Keldeo/Blastoise)> Tool Drop (Jerkiest of the jerks, I played it)Really, the new X Y expansion hasn't had much of an impact, but yet it did. You don't have to worry about this starting out. What the previous anon said is untrue: While yes, TCG has a "legal list", once the new expansion comes out it doesn't make everything else illegal. They phase out old sets every few years, but right now the most recent... Five or six are still legal? I can give you more detail about this, but here's a nice link :
