I love trickster type characters and how open-ended mermaids can be in how you interpet them and what they're hiding behind their appearance. The combination of mermaid and circus sea lion is still my favourite realization of this archetype by concept, and the design itself has so many layers to it that I can't help but adore Primarina more than any other Pokemon
