This is the first gym that the Player will encounter in the region. The Gym is separated into two main rooms: an art gallery in the front and a studio in the back.
The front room has 3 pictures that must be put in thematic order (morning-day-night) to unlock the door to the next area. The gym trainers in the front are Gentlemen/Socialite trainers who wont battle you unless you walk directly in front of their view of Arturo's paintings.
The back room is the art studio where Arturo is painting a new masterpiece and will accept your challenge.

Canvas Badge, looks like a blank canvas that represents the fresh start of new trainers passing through Arturo's gym.

A famous artist in the region who is somewhat of a recluse and a close friend of the region's Pokemon Professor. He is very supportive of new trainers and the Player can challenge him in a rematch at the Pokemon school in the next town later on in the game.
