This is my first fleshed out cave I've made. It's an optional route available after the second gym and has a bunch of fire pokemon in it. It also has heatran in the cave in that center but it doesn't appear till after a certain point in the story, encouraging you to go back and explore the cave if you skipped it.
You start from the top right corner and can exit at the bottom. I havn't made the bottom floor yet but the middle and bottom later connect to complete the path, the northeast most ladder takes you deep down to get the flamethrower TM.
If anyone has any tilesets with animation tiles of steam/smoke would love a link, I'm eventually going to texture this cave to look like a steamy lava cavern.
