>>36204669Don't get me wrong, I get why people don't find that the progress of the line "makes sense", but individually Blastoise's canons always made sense to me too from a design standpoint because it was clear as a kid what they were trying to convey:
>heavy turtle>slow bulky design>shoots water as way of attacking>develops retractable cannons under the shellThe whole thing immediately calls back to tanks and specially old ship gun ports.
Also, despite wartortlefags constantly shitting on Blastoise, I still like Wartortle too and think it's a shame it had to lose some features. But people saying that alone ruined the line are too much, this is not a 180º turn case like say Goodra for example.
