It's the guy that crafts intricate backstories for his Pokémon and Nuzlockes, back with another HeartGold run. Typical rulset, with one exception: this is an Apricornlocke, so i can only use apricorns to catch Pokémon, with the obvious exceptions of Pokémon i'm not battling with. The ruleset (mainly level caps and actually failing the run) doesn't kick in until i get my first apricorn ball. Now, backstory: Pokeballs mysteriously stop working in the Johto region, except for apricorn balls, and Alan has arrived to investigate at the behest of Prof. Elm. With all that out of the way, meet Mizaru the Totodile.

On the topic of weird ways to catch Pokémon, Cherrygrove Coty and route 30 share a body of water, but due to how encounter tables are set up, you can actually encounter completely different Pokémon depending on where you are. This pond was also blocked off in GSC but opened up in HGSS.
