HGSS, ORAS, and even fucking LGPE all had elements from upper version even if they removed other things like crystal's odd egg, map changes, and pokemon distribution or emerald's battle tents and new areas.
Do people not understand how ludicrous that is? Every fucking remake but the first one was an homage to the predecessor games. There's no excuse to regress now when every remake since has added more and more from the third versions.
