Which brings me to an important question.
How are we going to HANDLE shinies? I'm not asking about specific colours, because that is an issue for another time when we will have more time and all the mons.
Some (mostly the darker) colours double for different areas. For example, lighter outline colour is used almost always somewhere else on the sprite. Making shinies just simple color swaps restricts the possible combinations to similar ranges. For example, let's say I want to make a Sunkistador (chosen to illustrate the example). Just swapping the colours ends with jarring pixels in some places.
