Woke is meant to be a black on black thing. It's literally saying "stay woke mah nigga" as in don't fall for white man shit and understand that shit is fucked for them and they can't be caught sleeping.
So of course it's been turned into any moderately progressive movement at all by people that don't know what it is.
Same thing is now happening with groomer as it's the new favorite buzzword for them.
