What they should do is 'revisits'. Say it's a revisit of gen iv.
There would be a new girl and boy playable character.
There would be a new plot with new characters including gym leaders, e4 members, possibly champion.
There would be a new or drastically changed evil gang, perhaps there won't be one at all.
Some areas will be changed, and there will be some new areas.
Good features from previous games would not be removed.
Content from the original games like the Battle Frontier will not be removed.
