>>21975641Heading back on the route I was at, I make my way toward Little Stone -- "A quiet northern town" -- where I'm warned about freezing temperatures in the west. The Gym Leader is giving out warn clothing to anyone who can beat her in a battle, which I suppose is how Gym Leaders will stay relevant, giving out plot items.
I decided to check out the cave without it just to see what happens, and after so much time being spent in the cave, you pass out from the temperature and wake up outside the cave.
Right outside the cave is a Squirtle; I talk to it, and it wants to battle me and it's shiny. On one hand I've overused the Squirtle line at this point, on the other hand it's shiny. If I find a better Water-type I'll replace it but it'll do good to sap my experience so I don't get overleveled for now.
The Gym Leader, Brady (with a palette swap of Whitney's sprite), uses Exeggute/Bayleef/Sunflora, the highest at Lv. 18. Beating her gets me the Wooly Hat, which greatly slows (though doesn't negate) the time period in which I can stay in the cave without freezing.
