Hello /vp/. I don't post here often, but I generally see a lot of negativity regarding the 3DS era of Pokemon games. Negativity I understand, especially for XY, ORAS, and SM. But I don't really understand it for USUM.
USUM is an improvement in every way except plot for SM. And plot really isn't that important to a Pokemon game. While the game being 2 versions and failing yet again to offer a better battle facility is disappointing, I still feel that the game has quite a lot of meat on its bones. It has a nice dex, a generally challenging main story, an interesting take on the pokemon formula, quite a bit of optional fun side content, and, an albeit small, decent postgame event that's fun to play.
That's to say that I thoroughly enjoyed playing the game, significantly more than I did XY, ORAS, and SM. I do understand a lot of hate is just bleeding over from the criticism of the series' direction. But I also know there is a lot of hate from people who genuinely didn't enjoy the game. I am making this thread to ask: why? Why do you dislike USUM? Where do you want the series direction to go from here? This is not a USUM shill thread. I want to hear peoples genuine opinions and and criticism, and I will openly dialogue with people who didn't enjoy USUM.
