Jokes aside, why do the Atelier games have such a strongly male, tranny, and coomer fanbase? I became vaguely aware of the series over a decade ago because I was interested in other games with female protags I could self-insert as, but then ended up passing on Atelier games because the gameplay seemed grindy while the protags never really date anyone. Skipped out on them to enjoy otome games and VNs instead.
