In middle school we had this incentive based summer school where you'd get $75 if you went every day and were never late
>It was one of the easiest and most entertaining times of my youth
>Would always gather around with my friends and we'd play FR/LG or RSE any chance we got
>One day I see a small group of older kids playing Pokemon, decide to go over and talk to them
>One of them is a girl, really quiet but also very outgoing and quirky
>End up hanging out with her a lot more and subtly hint that I like her
>My fave Pokemon was Umbreon and hers was Skitty
>We'd always joke about how they were in love with each other, made a bunch of drawings and comics of them
>Our flirting intensifies, but summer school is almost over and we live too far away and are too young to really know how to keep in contact
>Get really sad because I feel like I might never see her again
>School starts back up
>Suddenly hear a familiar voice call me name
>It's her
>We pass notes to each other in the hall since it's really the only chance we had to talk
>End up confessing I like her, we start going out
>We both had Jumpluffs in our games and decided to attach letters to them and trade them as our messengers
>Eventually we start drifting apart because of our inability to see each other frequently
>We break up
>She still has my Jumpluff and I have hers
>Fast forward a couple years, Diamond and Pearl come out and I'm in summer school again
>Hadn't seen or heard from her in a while
>Feel a tap on my shoulder, I turn around and see her with her DS
>We hug and talk a bit, then she insists we trade our Jumpluffs while we have the chance
>Trade goes through and she says she has to go for now but hopes to see me again soon
>There's a not attached to my Jumpluff
>Can't remember exactly what it said but it was something along the lines of "I'm sorry, I miss you" or something
>Apparently she was moving and only came to summer school for a day or so to hopefully find me and give me that last moment
