Thundawg couldn't quite one shot a Linoone, and took a counter straight to the chin for a one hit ko. rip comrade ;__;7. i only have 4 areas in the wild area available for catches, and all of the weather for the past two days have left me with no good options. might wait it out a day or two more.

>>45033535i've been using the game mechanics to my advantage. no overworld catches isn't a great catch all because of places like the two galar mines, which ONLY have overworld encounters. imo the wild are isn't overpowered or game breaking. with the base game's 10 traditional routes, 4 additional areas, and 17 wild are spots makes 31 unique catch/met locations (not including cities, which only a handful have pokemon). by comparison gen 1 games have 25 routes and 10+ additional areas. so its on par with other games.
regardless, do whatever makes it fun.
