>>41428722>What the fuck do these people even play pokemon for?In my case, for the same reason I'd play an Atelier game or watch a PreCure show: you can be a cute girl who goes on a fantastical adventure, making friends and creating bonds along the way and ultimately reaching a happy ending. It's wholesome, it's soothing, it warms your heart. In short: I play Pokemon games for escapism. Nostalgia may be a factor too since I played Red when it was released, but it's mainly escapism.
