A good example that comes to mind is Han Solo and Princess Leia, but one could find plenty more examples across western media and anime both of those prickly close pairs.
It's something I still enjoy a lot, even if it's considered out of fashion. It's sad how people have become so jaded towards tsundere romance; twisting it from lighthearted gags, teasing, and busting each other's chops as close friends do, into treating it like malicious torture and serious abuse and jumping at any excuse to pick it apart.
