The main differences are that dokkan churns out millions more units, with a lot of 4* and 3* equivalents that actually help. Big banners have multiple pokefair equivalent featured most of the time, there are way more banners in general, be it pokefair ones or more random bait ones. The key difference though is that there is a stamina system, which completely changed the game: you can't do events non stop and because of that there is infinitely less grinding to do, which makes the game way more enjoyable. There are also more hard events to test your teams against.
