Let me tell you something, boys. People don't like like Kanto and the original 151 just because they grew up with them. It's because those designs are simple and iconic. They clearly portray what they are and you find them in places which make sense. You think anyone is gonna give a shit about a Let's Go Mudkip? No! That's not a recognisable and mass marketable design. Normies don't care about the box legends of older games either. A game like LGPE can only exist with timeless designs found in gen 1.
