I've been looking forward to a "main series" Pokemon game on a home console since the Gamecube days, and the dumpster fire that is Gen 8 is what I've gotten for all my time waiting.
I've never skipped a generation before, but I can't justify buying Sword or Shield. Maybe secondhand if they ever fall in price, but not now.
I guess I could run some randomizers or try some fangames but it feels weird. How are those of you who are also skipping this gen planning on filling the void? I need ideas.
