So every month I spoof, take over my area(which is basically 2 towns of 20 gyms in total) and hold helm for a good 3-weeks(I'm constant there watching at work). While fun playing wagering war on other spoofers/walkies alike and playing the game as a territory take over simulator and constantly knocking gyms left and right everyday constantly(morning,afternoon,night...take them all,fuck em) I'v come to the point where it doesn't matter before I get bored and return to my walkies of playing PC or console games or just spoof within my state to keep it local.
I wish Niantic would expand the gym system to connect gyms as node or something much like Ingress(I think that's how it works in there..),the gyms are boring as fuck and I wish they had a better purpose,maybe a pvp spot to get people to group up in a lobby like raiding maybe a trade spot but they could just add more stuff to the map(pokemon center?)
As of now it feels liek everyone is arming from a war that will never come.You see in the the threads,players with massive amount of power at their hands yet very little to use it on besides raids,it's like pimping out your car only to drive it down down the block to get a soda while you time yourself.
