Imagine flying anywhere you pleased to travel, being capable of transforming into anyone or anything to blend in, and having an eternal lifespan you could dedicate to learning anything you pleased. Since your loved ones would likely be mortals, and there seems to be an afterlife judging by the many descriptions of ghost types, you could probably pop up to heaven whenever you fancied, too, considering Mew's status as progenitor. If that last part was possible in-universe, there would be few downsides.
