>>21952787If you changed mons frequently as new mons arrive (as the developers seem to plan for so that little kids can play with whatever bros/sises they meet on the way to the E4) then you'll probably be underleveled for the E4.
Rematches is where the challenges have always been. Red on Mt.Silver and a few other post E4 matches are also decent displays that the devs keep the tougher challenges outside of the main storyline. If you want a hardcore challenge during the main story line then play a hack.
