Gods I fucking hate this arbitrary bullshit, the game acts as to your character has no fucking agency and at times you feel as though you have no relevance in this story despite you being literally it's main player, It's fucking stupid and it just makes me resent this game, I honestly question who's worse in this department, Reborn or Rejuvenation? Desolation for all it's shit makes the player truly feel important and like he's a big deal for saving the region, But in Reborn and Rejuvenation other characters, Typically complete fuckwits steal your spotlight for no good reason.
