I'm not even a Hoennbaby, I started with gen 1 and 2 at the same time, and was even nostalgic of these games when playing emerald. (I had a Gardevoir named Meganium and used to act as if it was a Meganium because it was green and looked like a flower)
I always preferred FRLG sprites and colors, I hated some musics (not all), I didn't have friends to play it with, I could never fill the pokédex, the battle frontier was way too hard for a time I didn't even know the difference between physical and special attacks.
But I still dumped hours in it. Probably because I lost the cartridges of the other games and it was basically my only GBA games.
But now Hoenn feels like home.
