>>31883826Her HP, Defense, and Special Defense are lackluster. In order to make her an effective sweeper, you'd have to have an amazing team behind her that can cover her weaknesses. She only has four, but they're fairly common, and she takes 4x damage to ground.
Essentially, Mudsdale will curbstomp her every time; it can KO her in one hit every time, resists poison, and takes neutral damage from fire. The only way a Salazzle would be viable if she had a Hidden Power to cover that, or if people just stop using Mudsdale.
And that's before we get to her ability Corrosion. While the idea of being able to poison any Pokemon type sounds good on paper, in practice, it doesn't do shit. Steel types are already getting fucked by her Fire attacks, and Poison types still resist.
(Though on the other hand, I do have a fond memory of poisoning Kukui's Magnezone, it surviving a Flamethrower because of Sturdy, but then dying from poison damage right after Also, corrosion opens up the option of using Venom Drench on things like Heatran.)
