>>56087527Feraligator has plenty of bad matchups depending on his level and moveset. He's not particularly tanky either so it can only take 1/2 hits. It also doesn't have the best IVs and a neutral nature. But since the examples weren't enough for you, let me give you even more instances of bad RNG.
- Triple Axel repeatedly missing at critical moments even with a multi-lens. Normally, it has a 72.9% chance for 120 base power but if I miss even once, it lowers to 60 BP, which is pathetic. Mega Rayquaza has 4 bars so even if successfully hit it 3 times after tanking a hit, it will still outspeed me next turn. (Flying weakness is nullified so it's only x2)
- Having poor item rolls (besides my Egg Voucher Premiums) so I end up with an underpowered team or an empty wallet. [pic related] shows how bad my rolls can get even with increased luck.
- Getting unlucky with encounters so I can only have 3 reliable starters. I can't get Umbreon (my Reflect setter) reliably since Eevee is a Gen 1 mon. Most Johto mons have cross generational evos so even if I do get an encounter, I will most likely not be able to evolve it.
- Getting screwed by field effects like Rainy/Sunny making me take unnecessary damage and draining my wallet. Fog making even 100 accuracy attacks miss at inopportune moments. Hail/Sandstorm making it rougher to tank hits before switching out.
- Getting statused by side effects from moves and having those statuses mess my strategies up. Special shoutouts to Discharge paralyzing me 80% of the time and Mega Rayquaza hitting 70% Hurricane while also proccing a 30% confusion on top of that.
- Being caught off-guard by Pokemon's Passives/Abilities/Moves/Egg Moves (especially the ones from later generations). I only played up to X/Y so I have 3-4 generations worth of move learnsets, move effects, abilities, and stat totals to figure out along with Passives and Egg Moves added in this game.
