If you're going in blind playing pokemon emerald, brawly (2nd gym leader) is actually sorta hard. The previous gym is rock so you don't really train the flying type available (swellow), and most people don't train a wurmple while the other bug type nincada is garbage. His makuhita is actually pretty high leveled with a sitrus berry. Of course sableye completely mogs him but if you don't know that it becomes surprisingly annoying.x
