It's just MORE Pokemon to build off of a greater pool of variety. I don't know why people say such things in POKEMON, of all monster collecting games, where the best quality is its ability to appeal to every human being on the planet
Like, name a person who doesn't have a favorite Pokemon. You can't! Not even a meme; everyone likes at least one Pokemon. And wishing that certain other Pokemon shouldn't be enjoyed by others just because someone else doesn't personally like them is just dumb.
So many dumb things, man... the cursed path of "looks like a Digimon" and "running out of ideas" is the worst path for a person to go down
