Second off synchro's entire definition makes them different.
Though the game implies a strong bond is needed for a mega evolution, the transformation is triggered by a stone and is fully on the Pokemon.
Synchro, short for synchronized, would mean you'd probably need a high friendship. The trainer and the Pokemon are in perfect sync and are literally one. The trainer feels damage like the Pokemon, the trainer moves with the Pokemon. Something you don't see for mega evolution.
I really don't think it'd be in the games myself but the difference in what that anon is saying is pretty fucking clear by just looking at Ash and Greninja vs how a Mega evolution works.
