Honestly, I wouldn't even use them, if there was an option not to, but the game literally hands you one as part of the main quest, so there is no way not to pick any of them up, it's not optional. The game hands you a "You win" button, there is no going around this, if you can call celebi once, there is no reason not to capture it
And remember, celebi=automatic purification, for some unexplained reason. Don't blame me, blame the developers who thought it was a good idea
XD did this right, you have to purify everything manually, until a certain part of the game when you can speed up the process. But by that point in the game, it actually feels satisfying, because the game made a big deal about how much progress has been made to make it possible, in Cl, the "Automatic Progress" is some magic genie bullshit
I don't do magic, and you're probably the only one who ever over thought this process like this
