It's so painful knowing I'll never be able to really go there. I've always wanted to just go on a journey like Ash with my Pokémon friends without a care in the world.
I love Pokémon so fucking much. Probably too much, but I don't care. Screw anyone's opinion if they think I'm weird for still liking it as much as I do as an adult.
For me, Pokémon isn't about the games, the anime, the merchandise, or any of that stuff. It's about the world and the grand adventure fantasy that we all dreamed about going on back when our lives were simpler. I think it's because of our stressful lives as adults that holding on to that fantasy is more important to me than ever. Pokémon is one of the few things that still keeps me happy after having experienced the worst moment in my life, when I lost my mom to cancer a few years ago.
