It's good to play with your favorites, but you should still try and strategize with your teams and get an even spread and such.
Like no reason you should have two of a same type on your team, and you need to create move builds and strats to make the most of your favorites. You should have multiple favorites with multiple rolls, and build a team per game. If two of your favorite pokemons don't work in a team, use one in one game and one in another. Or switch em out.
Work with your favorites, but you'll have to make some comprises here and there.
