>>47556711Eh, decided to save the TM for now. But unfortunately, I couldn't save Psykhe from bad RNG and crafty AI as she got smacked with Quick Attack while grinding on Route 11. Shame that it ended like that after all those levels coddling her from a mere cocoon.
Beforehand, I decided I wanted to get my Route 11 encounter before Surge, and chanced upon the elusive Drowzee. This is another Pokemon I never got to use before, so I switched out Hermes, trained him up to the same level and boarded the S.S. Anne.
Traversing the ship went without a hitch as a combined effort of all 5 Pokemon (Psykhe was still alive) made quick work of Gary. I could've sworn that the healing bed was there back in Red, but it didn't matter as I got the HM, slapped it onto Demeter (She only really needs Razor Leaf + LeechToxic), and sifted through a bunch of trash like I was browsing through /vp/'s catalog. Athena also evolved while here after delaying a couple of levels for an earlier Glare.
Once the doors were open, Gaea uses Dig 3 times and wins as usual for this gym. After going back to the early towns to get the Cut goodies like Old Amber and Dream Eater, I needed a new Pokemon to replace Psykhe. I then remembered that I dropped off Magikarp in the Daycare once I got to the route, and thankfully enough, it was finally Level 20. One level of switch training in Diglett's Cave and the Nuzlocke destroyer is born. Onwards to Rock Tunnel without a Flashmon!
