"Kyaaaaaa!" the vortex takes you into a ripple between dimensions, all around you is a number of shapes, objects, and surreal imagery. Kind of like a kaleidoscope, it's all just too weird.
A celestial road formed by stars is all that remains, and all that stands between you and returning back to the mortal plane. Just traverse it, make it to the vortex at the end of the road, and you're home free.
But you're tired. You've wasted all your energy on wearing down Xerxes, and even then, even with everything you tossed at him, he's still not dead. Is it just impossible for him to die?
"GRAAAAAAAAAGH! Where do you think YOU'RE going?!" a decomposing Xerxes pops his head through the portal roaring as loudly as he can. Squealing, you begin to crawl, getting up is too much of a chore now.
"Hah....hah.....haah.."
It's just a matter of chase and waiting now, if you can dodge the creep long enough for him to just die out completely, you may have this in the bag. But who knows how long it'll take for him to deteriorate completely?
Xerxes slams two of his arms on the starry road, slowly dragging himself closer and closer to you. With a grunt, he slams his poisonous tail right in-between your legs, which is too close a call.
